101.           $250

E. Ingraham Co. “Maine”, ca. 1899.  A difficult model to find in the Ingraham series on the Spanish-American War; there are only two sales on LiveAuctioneers, most recently (2024) for $530. The refinished oak case is 22.5 inches tall with the battleship “Maine” shown in the crest; it is also depicted on the original door glass.  The glossy paper dial is signed, the hands are as shown in the catalog illustration (Ly, Ingraham Clocks & Watches, page 304).  The 8-day time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a wire gong.  Remnants of a label on the back.  $250–$500.

Chuck Shogren notes that the pendulum on this clock is not correct.
