253. $100
English general post office clock, ca. 1900. A
traditional 8-day fusee timepiece, 15.5 inches in diameter in walnut with a clean finish and a 12-inch convex dial with the original
paint and light chipping and wear; some of the numbering has been strengthened. The dial glass is original with the original
putty, the hands proper/original. There is a door underneath to access the pendulum. The 8-day, time-only fusee
movement is unsigned; it is running nicely. No label to be found. AAC sold a similar example last January for
$141. $250–$500.
