Birge & Fuller double-steeple fusee, 1844-1848. A
26.5-inch case veneered in rosewood with a clear finish and no chips or missing pieces, and four good cone finials. The three
glasses are period, the tablets frosted and cut glass. The dial holds old paint with slight chipping and light soiling,
the hands are period/original. The signed 8-day, double-fusee, time-and-strike movement is running and striking as expected.
An acceptable label on the back board. AAC sold a near identical example a year ago for $1000. $750–$1000.
