Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Column No. 1”, ca. 1863. A 26-inch walnut case with a very nice finish, double columns on each side, and two original glasses; the Fenn tablet is well preserved. The painted, contoured, metal dial is original and in typical condition, with period/original hands.  The 30-hour weight-driven, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, driven by two replacement wafer weights, striking the hours on a wire gong. There is a very dark label, but the maker and location (Plymouth Hollow) are visible.  This is a nice example; AAC sold a similar example a year ago for $150.  $125–$200.
