150.           $100

Waterbury Clock Co. “Kingston”, ca. 1883.  A 37-inch refinished black walnut case with old glass in the door; the topmost part of the crest may be a replacement but is correct to style (Ly, Waterbury Clocks & Watches, page 194).  The dial is a repainted replacement with the Ansonia logo and name in a nickel sash; the hands are replacements as well.  The 8-day, time-only movement is signed (faintly) and running, but oily, always a bad sign. The pendulum stick and bob are also replacements, the bob should be silvered.  Well, you can’t have everything, and you don’t get a label here either.  But a nice clock if you aren’t picky.  $100–$200.
