Benjamin Morrill (attr.) New Hampshire mirror clock, 1816-1845.  This mirror clock contains a “wheelbarrow” movement with an off-center pendulum and weight; it is unsigned and the dial is not signed, but everything here is characteristic of Benjamin Morrill’s work, or of his disciples (Jame Corliss?).  Morrill worked in Boscawen, NH after training briefly in Boston.  The restored case is 30 inches tall with the gilded and black half-columns repainted and the mirror replaced.  The dial glass is period but not necessarily original, and the dial surround has been properly repainted.  The iron dial is original to this clock and has not been repainted; the hands are period but I’m not sure they’re a matched set.  The brass movement is running nicely, driven by a 7 lb lead weight.  AAC has sold two Morrill mirror clocks, in 2021 and 2023, for $1000 and $1976, respectively.  $800–$1500.
