100. $800
Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Hecla”, 1884. A 22.5-inch oak case with an old finish and an old, stenciled door glass. The painted dial bears the ST logo and has some chips;
the hands are proper. The 8-day, time, strike, and chime movement is signed and running, marking the quarter-hours with a ‘ding-dong’
strike on two nested bells behind the gong base, once, twice and thrice on the first, second, and third quarter-hour. It counts
the hours on the cathedral gong. Only a couple of ST models use this movement (Hecla, Atlas, Marcy). There is a black
label on the bottom and the bob is damascened. Date of manufacture is stamped on the back. A nice example; AAC sold a
similar example in 2022 for $1018. $800-1200.
