195. $600
Boston Clock Co. wall regulator, 1884-1894. The 38-inch
mahogany case has a semi-transparent stain which I think detracts from the appearance; the dial glass is period, the lower glass a
modern replacement. The dial is original with some in-painting and some soiling; it is signed. The hands are original. The
8-day, time-only movement is signed at the bottom (mostly obscured by the pendulum); it is running but is a bit out of plumb. The
pendulum stick is original, the brass bob is damascened, there is a proper weight, a wooden weight shield, and a tie-down. No
label. AAC sold one last winter for $750. $600-$800.
