DA-3 $50
New Haven Clock Co. “Cabinet No. 4”, ca. 1895. A small (14.5-inches tall) mahogany cabinet with an old finish
and heavy patina. The case differs slightly from the catalog illustration on page 195 of Ly’s book on New Haven clocks in that
it has a peaked top, whereas the catalog shows it flat. The dial glass is old, the painted dial faded and chipping. The
hands are correct. The 8-day time-and-strike movement bears the New Haven logo and is running, striking on a wire gong. There is an alarm hooked up and it winds separately between the 6 and 7 on the dial. It was not tested. A very dark and
torn label on the back. $50-$100.
