Southern Calendar Clock Co. “Fashion No. 4”, ca. 1878.  A second example of this model. The walnut case has a nice color and finish.  The center finial is original, the side finials replacements.  The door glass is old, the lettering is correct.  Both dials are original with original paint or a very old repaint; the time dial is showing considerable deterioration in the middle and has been touched up, including the seconds dial.  The roller dials have been taped up to hold them together.  The Seth Thomas movement is running and striking as expected, and the calendar is advancing. Other than the time dial there is not much to complain about here.  $500-$800.
