Black Forest small shelf cuckoo, ca. 1870.  A 22-inch-tall oak and pine case with a glossy finish.  The crest-piece features a large squirrel, the piece has been repaired.  The hands on the dial are plastic I believe. The unsigned brass movement is running without problem; the clock strikes on the hour and the cuckoo comes out to call, but both bellows are shot so the bird is mute.  The strike hammer also needs adjustment.  $300-$500.
