Jeromes, Gilbert, Grant & Co. brass dial OG, 1839-1840.  The Spittlers & Bailey (American Clockmakers & Watchmakers, Vol. 3) state that this firm was the first to produce low priced 30-hour, brass weight-movement clocks.  This OG is 26 inches tall with good mahogany veneer all around.  Both glasses are old, the upper possibly original, and have been rebacked and touched up.  The brass dial numbering has been repainted and sits slightly off-center relative to the door glass dial mask.  A decent label inside and an old pendulum bob with two small square weights drive the early 30-hour brass time-and-strike movement.  A nice example of an early clock.   $150-$250.

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or we missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, we will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
