Reproduction No. 5 Regulator Banjo, ca. 1990.  This well-made No. 5 banjo bears a banjo movement stamped with Merritt’s in Douglas PA, with a manufacturing date of May 1990; a stamp on the bottom of the backplate indicates that C.A. Lenderman made the movement.  The 29-inch case appears to be walnut with a polished finish. The glasses are modern with a typical maroon and gold tablets.  The 8-day, time-only movement is running without issue, driven by a lead banjo weight and regulated by a proper pendulum.  No label, but very nice.  $250–$500.
