260.          $250

Ansonia Clock Co. “La Grande”, ca. 1895.  One of the hardest models to find.  The 21-inch green tint case with floral decorations shows no crazing and I see no cracks, chips, or repairs. The flat dial glass is beveled over a two-part porcelain dial that has some damage between the II and III.  There is an Ansonia logo in the center ring; the visible escapement has steel pallets, the fleur de lis hands are proper.  The signed round, rack and snail movement is running without issue, but the interior wood base is missing and so the standing cathedral gong is not attached (but is included).  It should not be too difficult to make a replacement wood base.  There is one sale of a very similar example on LiveAuctioneers for $700 at Schmitt Horan in 2022; AAC sold one in 2024 for $906.  $250–$750.
