E.N. Welch Manufacturing Co. “Le Roi” Patent Case, Cast front series, ca. 1880.  This model was a one-day only, but you could also get it with an alarm.  I believe this one was nickel, but most of the finish is worn off.  The feet are bent in slightly but could be straightened.  The glass is beveled, the dial is paper with a large opening to view the nickel-plated movement, the hands are correct.  The lever-spring movement is running, remarkably, as the hairspring is badly sprung.  The movement is signed and there is most of a label inside the back cover.  $50–$100.
