E.N. Welch Manufacturing Co. “Le Prince” Patent Case, Cast front series, ca. 1880.  This model only came with a one-day lever movement, but you could get it with an alarm.  The 8-inch metal case is finished in gilt but I suspect it was repainted some time ago.  The glass is beveled and the dial has a large opening to show off the nickel-plated movement.  The hands are proper and the movement is die-stamped with the manufacturer; it is running nicely.  No label.  $50–$100.
