225. $25
Sessions Clock Co. small lever-spring banjo,ca. 1920? A 25-inch mahogany case with lighter wood inlay around the box and throat. The finish is very dull and in need
of rejuvenation. There is a small eagle finial, also dull. This clock is unusual for the barometer tube in the throat,
with incised “fair, change, and stormy” from the bottom to the top. I don’t know that this barometer tube is functioning, or
how it works. There is a dial thermometer at the bottom, but it is not working. The dial glass is convex, the dial silvered
in good condition, although the bezels are worn. The hands are matched and probably original. The small 8-day, time-only,
lever movement is unsigned. It is running without issue. There is no label, and I cannot find this model in Ly’s book
on Sessions clocks. $25-100.
