222.             $10

Small schoolhouse clock, ca. 1920.  This clock does not have a label and the unusual movement has a die-stamp I do not recognize; I would guess it is Japanese.  It is 22 inches long in walnut with a nice finish; the glasses are likely original, with a light stencil on the lower glass.  The dial is painted with one chip that I see, and the hands are likely original.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running but the strike train is broken and will not run without repair.  $10–$50.
