Ansonia Clock Co. “18-Inch Gallery”,ca. 1914.  Ly shows this clock with a 24-inch-diameter dial (Ly, Ansonia Clocks & Watches, page 202), but this example has an 18-inch dial in a 23-inch refinished walnut case.   The dial glass looks modern to me, the dial is paper with some yellowing and foxing; it may be original, as it bears the Ansonia logo and the wording “Thirty Day”.  The hands are as shown in the catalog illustration.  The large brass, spring-driven movement is double-wind, time-only, and runs 30 days or longer, and has an Ansonia die-stamp; my consignor says it runs 45 days.  It is running with an overhead suspension pendulum.  There is a door at the bottom to access the pendulum; no label.  No sales of this 18-inch model that I can find.  $150–$300.
