Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Drop Octagon 12 Inch” Ball Watch Co. Regulator, 1906.  A 24-inch oak case with an old finish.  Both glasses are old, with a retained backing and gilt ring on the pendulum glass.  The 12-inch dial holds the original paint with minor touch-ups, large Arabic numerals, and the “Ball Watch Co. Cleveland” name.  The lettering has been touched up.  The 8-day time-only movement is by Seth Thomas and is running without difficulty.  There is an old pendulum bob and a darkened Ball Watch Co. label inside.  The date of manufacture ( Nov 1906) is stamped on the back.  Clocks certified by the Ball Watch Co. were used in train stations and other railroad buildings in the early 1900’s.  $150–$300.
