203.             $300

Gazo Family Clock Co. “San Marcos” ca. 1980. This is the later version of this model, Gazo’s most popular.  The 37-inch oak case has a light and intentionally aged finish, with a convex glass over the etched brass dial with cartouche numbering and fancy hands.  The name “Gazo” is on the dial above the ‘VI’.  The 8-day time, strike, and chime movement was made in West Germany (probably Jauch) and will play Westminster chimes or a second chime I do not recognize, on 7 chime rods, on the quarter-hours.  It counts the hours on 4 chime rods.  The chime selector is at the top of the dial and can also be turned off.  The pendulum bob is proper.  It is running without difficulty and chiming and striking.  These clocks do not often come east of California, where they are very popular.  The Gazo Family Clock Co. is no longer in business.  Several recent sales on LiveAuctioneers, for disparate prices ($1000, $450). $300–$600.

Here's an easy way to keep track of your favorite clocks:  Open/download the Bid Form PDF onto your computer (it should open in a new window) and type in the clocks you want to save.  Right click to 'save as', or click the download arrow in the top right corner of your browser window, and you can save the filled-in form on your computer - I recommend your desktop.  It will be easy to find and you can open it any time to add or subtract clocks from the list.  When you are ready to go, your bid form will be too!
