Wayne Cline lyre banjo, 1965-2006.  Wayne worked in Bowling Green, KY making a variety of reproduction banjo clocks as well as Howard models.  His diamond head banjos are most common and highly coveted.  I could not find another example of a lyre banjo by this maker on LiveAuctioneers or the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide.  The mahogany case is 36 inches long including the top finial; I can find no date information stamped into the case.  The glasses and dial are in very good condition, the hands original.  The 8-day, time-only movement is signed Wayne Cline, Bowling Green KY; it is running strongly.  The lead weight bears a Cline die stamp.   A rare and beautiful example.  $750–$1200.
