189. $1000
Ralph L Holman “Regulator No. 1” banjo, 1995. Mr. Holman was a friend of Wayne Cline in Bowling Green, KY; this clock was built in the Cline shop under the supervision of Mr. Cline,
and contains a movement made by Wayne Cline (and so signed). The 50-inch case appears to be solid walnut. The glasses
are painted in the E Howard style. The dial was painted by The Dial House and is signed, with Cline-style hands. The 8-day
weight-driven, time-only movement is signed by Wayne Cline and is running without problem, regulated by a lead-backed pendulum bob
and driven by a reproduction No. 1 weight. No label, but the makers name, location, and date are stamped into the outside back
of the case. $1000–$1500.
Thanks to Derek Phelps for the information on Ralph Holman!
