Wm. Gerrish New Hampshire mirror clock, 1827.  Gerrish was a watchmaker and also sold clocks in Dover, NH in 1827-28.  There are no sales records on LiveAuctioneers or the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide for Mr. Gerrish.  This mirror clock is 32 inches long and 15.5 inches wide with an old repainted finish; note the brass rosettes on the four corner posts.  The dial glass is old but probably a replacement, with the surround painted by Tom Moberg.  The mirror is very wavy, protected by a wood backboard, and may well be original. The iron dial holds the original paint, with professional touch-up by Kathi Edwards (The Dial House).  The delicate barbed hands are likely original.  The unmarked 8-day, time-only banjo-type movement is running, driven by a lead weight with a metal pendulum rod and brass bob.  No label.  A rare (one of a kind?) example.  $400–$600.
