180.            $400

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Regulator No. 2”, ca. 1890. A 36-inch walnut case with a clean old finish.  Both glasses are period/original and the dial and hands are almost certainly original, with some flaking, lifting, and fading.  The 8-day, time-only movement is unsigned; it is running and just slightly out of plumb.  The weight is not quite ST issue, the pendulum is likely original with slight spotting on the brass bob. Beat scale and remnants of a black label inside on the bottom, with an over-pasted Boston dealer’s label.  No date on the back. Six sales over the last five years on AAC for a walnut No. 2, averaging $628.  $400–$650.
