170.              $125

Ansonia Clock Co. “Round Drop Calendar”, ca. 1920.  A 24-inch walnut case with a dull finish; the dial bezel and front board appear to be grain-painted.  Both glasses are period, with a proper tablet on the pendulum door.  The dial is old paper, stained and lightly soiled; it is signed at the bottom and bears the Ansonia logo, and is likely original.  The hands do not match the hands shown in the catalog illustration (Ly, Ansonia Clocks & Watches, page 210) but were used by Ansonia, and the brass calendar hand is Ansonia.  The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed and running, and the calendar hand is advancing.  A label inside.  $125–$250.
