145.           TD-29.          $50

Ansonia Clock Co. marble-cased mantel clock, ca. 1904.  A 12-inch by 14.5-inch Belgian slate case with a marble front trim, marble columns, and gilded incisings.  There are numerous nicks, flea-bites, and a wear mark on the base on the right, but overall the case is in fine shape.  The dial glass is flat, the signed porcelain dial has some stained hairlines, the hands are proper. The Ansonia 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking on a cathedral gong.  There is no label.  I could not find this model in Ly’s book on Ansonia Clocks, and Ansonia was not big on marble trim on their clocks, so it must be considered that this may be a French clock with a replaced (Ansonia) movement.  Looks good regardless.  $50–$150.
