135. $50
Waterbury Clock Co. peaked roof cottage, ca. 1890. I could
not find this model in either of Ly’s books on Waterbury clocks, but it is a common style used by other manufacturers. The 17.5-inch
case is veneered in rosewood with a clean, polished finish. Both glasses are original, the tablet rebacked. The metal
dial holds old paint with light wear and soiling, and the Maltese hands are matched. The 30-hour time-and-strike movement is
signed behind the alarm ring; it is running and striking on the wire gong. The remote alarm was not tested. There is a
good label, obscured by the gong base. A nice example. $50–$150.
