Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Athens”, ca. 1884.  A 17-inch walnut case with newer glass in the door and the original painted and signed dial.  This is a “city series” clock, meaning it was well made with a dependable movement.  The hands are correct; the dial is clean.  The 8-day, time and half-hour strike movement is signed and running, striking on a nickel bell.  There is a nickel pendulum and a black, illegible label inside on the bottom.  Not common.  $100–$150.
