114. $150
Atkins Clock Co. “London”, 1859-1879. A 16.5-inch rosewood case with a beautiful finish. The dial glass is original with the original gilding, rebacked; the tablet
below the dial is a modern but proper replacement. Note the matching door handles. The dial has been repainted and is
yellowing, the hands period. The brass 8-day, time-and-strike movement is unsigned; it is running and striking properly on a
wire gong. An old pendulum bob, key, and good label inside. A better-than-average example; the average sale price for
this model on AAC (8 sales) is $189. $150–$200.
