107.            $100

Beach & Byington 30-hour fusee round gothic, ca. 1840. This is only the second clock I can find by this duo; there is only one listing on LiveAuctioneers or the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide, for a B&B fusee steeple with an alarm, which AAC later sold in 2023 for $450.  The 19-inch case has a very light but polished finish, and I am not sure it hasn’t lost its veneer.  If not, it would appear to be an ash case, or possibly oak.  The dial glass is original, the lower glass a modern replacement with a proper period tablet.  The contoured metal dial is clean with little chipping and is probably original, as are the hands.  The 30-hour, double-fusee movement is unsigned, the fusee spools are wood.  It is running and striking on a wire gong.  There is a good label inside.  One of two known clocks by this pairing from Terryville, CT.  $100–$450.
