99.             $10

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “Round Band”, 1863-1913.  This was a popular and long-lasting model for Seth Thomas, with it appearing in catalogs from the Civil War to World War 1.  The 16.5-inch case has a alligatored finish over burl mahogany; the finish is marred on top.   Both glasses are almost certainly original, with a well-preserved tablet. The contoured dial is also likely original, with some fading, and lacks hands.  The Seth Thomas 8-day, time-and-strike movement has a broken or disconnected time spring but will strike on the wire gong.  There is a remote alarm that strikes on an iron bell and it is hooked up, but there is no alarm ring.  There is a complete label inside. $10–$50.
