Barnes, Bartholomew & Co. Eight Day Brass Clock, 1833-1836.  A 35-inch triple-decker with a poor finish greatly in need of attention; the half-columns hold the original paint and gilding but show wear.  The gesso eagle splat has been painted; this clock had feet at one time.  The dial glass and middle glass are modern, with an applied image and spray-painted surround in the middle.  The lower glass is original with the original tablet, with considerable losses.  The gilded wooden dial is dark with soiling, the hands are likely original. The 8-day, time-and-strike brass strap movement is unusual and warrants a closer look, as I have not seen a rack and snail strike mechanism on one of these movements; other Barnes & Bartholomew clocks have a count-wheel strike mechanism.  The movement is not signed (typical); it is running and striking on the iron bell, driven by two 8-day cast iron weights (you can decline the weights for a $50 credit on your invoice).  There is a period pendulum bob and a good label inside, with Barnes misspelled.  I will part out this clock if you wish.  $100–$250.
