77.           $175

Chauncey Jerome triple decker, ca. 1850.  Not known for triple-deckers like this, but the movement is a Jerome 8-day, weight-driven movement (unsigned) and the partial label says “New Haven”.  The sleigh-front case is 33 inches tall with beautiful flame mahogany veneer, including on the half-columns.  An occasional chip can be found.  The three glasses are period/original with remarkably well-preserved and matched tablets.  The flat metal dial is chipped and yellowing, the hands are later replacements.  The brass 8-day, time-and-strike movement is running and striking on a wire gong, driven by two cast-iron weights.  Most of the label is missing, the biggest drawback to this clock.  $175–$250.

I got this one wrong, it is a New Haven Clock Co. clock from around 1870.  Thanks to Mike Bailey for straightening me out!
