Spencer & Wooster & Co. “Eight Day Repeating Brass Clock”, 1840-1843.  A 33.5-inch column & cornice mahogany case with full columns on each side.  The dial glass and middle glass are original, with an outstanding original tablet.  The glass in the bottom section appears to be a modern replacement. The wood dial is in good condition, the hands are proper and period.  The 8-day brass, time-and-strike movement is running and striking noisily on a wire gong.  There are period 8-day weights and a period pendulum bob, with a good label on the backwall. $250–$500.
