53.           $10

Chauncey Jerome miniature 30-hour column & cornice, 1844-1850. A rough 18-inch mahogany case with considerable wear.  The half-columns are chipped, the capitals and plinths repainted. Both glasses are likely original, with a nice frosted and cut-glass tablet.  The original contoured dial is faded with chipping around the winding ports; the hands are period and appropriate.  The 30-hour time-and-strike movement is unsigned; it will run for less than a minute and the strike is hung up.  A wire gong and a good label inside.  A restoration project with some potential.  $10–$50.

Mike Bailey, my authority on all things Jerome, says the movement in this clock is by the New Haven Clock Co. and dates from the early 1850's.  Thanks Mike!

Can I return my clock if I don’t like it?

Absolutely!  Save your packing and box, you have 30 days from receipt to return it for a full refund if you are unhappy.  If the clock is not as described, or I missed something important and that is not evident from the pictures, I will refund your shipping costs (both ways) as well.  Find another auction company that does that!
