Elisha Manross 30-hour OG, 1843-1849. A 26-inch OG case with a glossy finish over older coats of wax and varnish, giving the case a bit of roughness.  Both glasses are period/original, with losses to the milk-glass tablet.  The contoured dial holds the original paint with some chipping around the mounts; the hands are period/original.  The weight-driven time-and-strike movement is not signed and is running and striking on a wire gong, driven by two period weights.  There is a nice label on the backwall; note the stagecoach arriving along with the steam train at the Depot, and the people arriving and waiting.  $50–$100.
