45.             $50

Jerome & Co. 30-hour OG, ca. 1855.  A 26-inch OG case with good mahogany veneer and a clean finish.  The two glasses are likely original, with a modest flaking to the tablet of Branksea Castle in Dorsetshire, England, built by Henry VIII in 1545 to protect England from France, taken from a period lithograph (shown below).  The flat metal dial is faded but clean, the hands period.  The 30-hour time-and-strike brass, weight-driven movement is unsigned, dirty, but running and striking on a wire gong.  There are two period weights, a bob, and a decent label inside.  $50–$100.
