Charles Kirke 30-hour column & splat shelf clock, 1827-1832.  A 30-inch clock on paw feet with bronzed half-columns and splat.  I suspect the pineapple finials and four feet are reproductions; the bronzing looks original and is still strong.  The dial glass and mirror are very old, but not necessarily original.  The wooden dial has dark numbering and a clean background, with some discoloration of indeterminate origin on the lower left.  The wooden 30-hour time-and-strike movement will run for a bit and will strike on the iron bell. There are two period weights, an old pendulum bob, and a good label inside.  Pillar & scrolls are more common from this Bristol clockmaker.  $125–$250.
