Gustav Becker spring-driven R/A Vienna, 1909-1933. The logo on the back of the movement reveals that this is a GB clock made early in the last century. However, a diligent search
has not identified any matching sales records, and Ly’s book on Gustav Becker clocks does not show this model. The case is 34
inches long, painted black with gilded metal ornamentation showing some corrosion. The dial glass is convex, the dial porcelain,
unsigned. The lower glass swings up to allow access to the pendulum. The 8-day, time and half-hour strike, spring-driven
movement is running and striking softly on a brass bell. An attractive clock. $250–$500.
