Lenzkirch thirty-day Biedermeier Vienna, ca. 1873. A 36-inch mahogany case in the Dachluhr (rooftop) style with six beveled glasses and a 30-day Lenzkirch single-weight movement. The finish is clean, the glasses good, the only flaw I see is a missing tailpiece.  The movement bears the serial number 251823, dating the movement to 1873.  The pendulum stick has been broken and repaired; the brass bob is hollow.  The small brass shell weight is typical.  The two-part porcelain dial with a seconds bit has some very fine hairlines in the upper left; the hands are period and typical.  It is running.  Schmidt’s Antiques sold an unsigned model in 2023 for $2400.  $1000–$2500.

My All-Things-German expert, Ness Ball, tells me that this clock is a marriage.  I think a clue is the additional holes in the backboard behind the movement.  Thanks Ness!
