278. $1000
Very large one-weight, 30-day Vienna,ca. 1890. A 64-inch walnut case with walnut or mahogany veneer, a finely carved crest, door columns, and finials. The
door glass and side lights are old, likely original. The two-part porcelain dial has one hairline crack, barely noticeable (near
the VII), ornate Viennese hands including a seconds hand. The 30-day, time-only movement is unsigned and unmarked; it is running,
but not as strongly as I would like. There is a large hollow brass pendulum bob and a brass weight on a spoked pulley wheel. Other than a good repair to the top right finial I see no issues with this impressive clock. $1000–$2500.
