Vincenti & Cie jeweled crystal regulator, ca. 1860.  A small (9.75 inches) crystal regulator with a bowed front and paste jewels around the door and around the dial. Did you know that “paste jewelry” is high-lead glass and was developed in France in the early 1700’s?  It was all the fashion until the twentieth century.  There are four beveled glasses and a brightly polished brass case with little wear.  The porcelain dial is hand-painted and flawless, the hands are appropriate; note also the decorated pendulum with a signed porcelain center portrait and jewels around it.  The 8-day, pendule de Paris movement is signed Vincenti & Cie with a medal of honor stamp dated 1855. I cannot keep it running but it will strike on the small cathedral gong.  This is a beautiful high-end clock that needs just a bit of attention.  $250–$500.
