225. $70
Jerome & Co. cottage clock, ca. 1860. A 15-inch
cottage clock with rosewood veneer, an old clean finish, and two old glasses with Jerome’s gutta percha inserts. The centerpiece
in the lower insert says “Time is Money”. The metal dial holds old paint with some chipping at the top and has been varnished;
the hands appear to be original. The 8-day, time-and-strike movement was made by Noah Pomeroy and is so signed, Bristol CT. It is running and striking on a wire gong. There is a decent label on the backside of the door. AAC sold one in 2022 for
$158. $70–$150.
