202.            $1800

Atkins, Whiting & Co. “Parlor No. 2” with wagon spring, 1850-1858.  A rare model with a simpler form than the Parlor No. 1.  The rosewood case is 18.5 inches tall with a clean finish and no significant veneer losses.  The dial glass is original with good retention of the gilt stenciling; the mirror is old and retains the original cardboard backing.  The contoured zinc dial was repainted by The Dial House; the hands are period/original. The 30-day, time-only movement is running without difficulty, driven by a Type III wagon spring.  There is no label.  AAC sold one in July 2021 for $2900.  No sales on LiveAuctioneers or the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide.  $1800–$2800.
