Aaron Willard, Jr. Massachusetts shelf clock, ca. 1830. A 32-inch mahogany case (without the center finial) with an old finish, sitting on brass paw feet in front and wooden ball feet in back.  Both glasses are old, the lower mirror tablet likely original, while the dial glass surround appears to have been repainted. The iron dish-dial holds old paint, the hands are modern replacements.  The 8-day weight-driven brass movement is running confidently, driven by an old painted lead weight and the likely original pendulum bob.  The top left scroll tip has been expertly repaired and the eagle ball finial on top is modern. The Roman numeral III is inscribed on the bottom of the hood and the bottom of the lower panel.  AAC sold this clock in 2023 for $3400.  $2500–$3500.
