151.             $100

Seth Thomas Clock Co. “King Bee”, ca. 1900. I cannot find this model in Ly’s two volumes on Seth Thomas clocks, but there are several examples on LiveAuctioneers.  The 29.5-inch oak case has been refinished and the metal ornaments, including the figure head, are dark; perhaps they should be gold.  There are many applied carvings, and Seth Thomas marketed similar models (e.g., Metal Series) in the early 1900’s.  The door glass is period, the signed paper dial is on a newer brass dial pan.  The hands are ST issue.  The 8-day, time-and-strike movement is signed and running, striking on a cathedral gong.  There is an alarm hooked up but not tested.  The pendulum and bob are ST issue; note the working level at the bottom.  There is no label.  $100–$200.
