Antique American Clocks JANUARY 2025
141. $250
Waterbury Clock Co. “Pendant”, ca. 1906. Here’s another
clock you’ve never seen before; there are no sales records on LiveAuctioneers or on the Antique Clocks Identification and Price Guide,
going back to 1999. The 28.5-inch case is probably oak but looks like walnut, with a high polish and some patina. Looks
just like it should, I think; the catalog description (Ly, Waterbury Clocks & Watches, page 217) says it only came in oak. Both glasses are period/original. The 10-inch painted dial has yellowed with a few chips; it has the Waterbury logo above the
mainstem and it is probably the original paint. The hands match the catalog illustration. The 8-day, time-only movement
is signed and running without issue. The adjustable dial pendulum is as shown in the catalog illustration. There is a
black Waterbury label with gold lettering inside, and a label on the back naming the model. An interesting clock that won’t
take up too much wall space – and you’ll be the only one on your block with this model! $250–$500.
