107.            $700

Ethel North miniature pillar & scroll, 1824-1831. A 29-inch case with mahogany veneer and a clean finish, three small and proper brass urn finials on screw posts, two old glasses (the dial glass original), and a repainted tablet.  The scroll tips have been repaired, the feet and skirt look original.  The wooden dial has been repaired, touched up, and professionally cleaned, and the hands are period/original.  The Torrington east-west 30-hour, wooden movement will run for a bit and will strike; I see some repairs to gear teeth.  There are two proper square weights and an old, embossed pendulum bob.  There is a good label inside and a working door latch and key.  AAC sold a similar example last summer for $800.  $700–$1000.
