102.               $400

E. Terry & Sons pillar & scroll, 1823-1831.  A third example of this model, also restored by Jeff Villet.  Polished mahogany veneer, 31 inches tall with the brass urn finials on steel posts; both scroll tips have been repaired.  Dial glass is modern, lower glass original with a reasonably well-preserved tablet of a home on a river, with a small sailing boat.  The wooden dial is clean with colorful flower spandrels, the hands are period, with a repaired hour hand.  The 30-hour wooden time-and-strike movement is running and striking as expected, with two period weights and a new pendulum bob, new tin dust covers and a working lock and key.  A good label inside. $400–$500.
